Miami is now 40-38 on the season, and has climbed their way back in the National League East standings after a tough start to the year. Starting pitcher Ryan Gusto struck out six and worked four-plus innings for Miami. The Marlins are above .500 this deep into the season for the first time since 2023. And they're red-hot in the month of June, with a 14-4 record and eight straight home wins. But the team will have to overcome the loss of slugger Liam Hicks, who is headed to the injured list. Hicks leads the club in home runs and RBIs. The Marlins will need other batters to step up and replace his production. So they'll look to keep winning, starting with their next series against the Texas Rangers on Monday. The Marlins are currently tied for third in the division with the Washington Nationals. Miami's strong home record is a key factor in their success, with 26 home wins. The team's bullpen has also been performing well, helping to secure these wins.
